We are concerned about the accelerating worldwide climate change that is in large part due to human activity.  While some may argue over the amount of change brought about by human activity, no one can argue against cleaner air, cleaner soil, and cleaner water.  We support real and meaningful change to improve the health of the planet and life on it.

Therefore,

  1. *We will push for the acceptance of the guidelines of the ‘Kyoto Protocol’ to the United                         Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and improvements of that treaty.

  2. *We support better and more extensive mass-transit in both urban and rural areas - especially rail.

  3. *We support state and federal subsidies for green building and green transit.  If individuals and businesses must make financial sacrifices, government should monetarily support them in these endeavors.

  4. *We support zoning areas for wind and solar farms [that do not encroach on currently designated EPA protected lands] and government subsidies to get them up and running.

  5. *We support funding for alternative energy from private, state, and federal agencies.

  6. *We support the reduction of federal/state subsidies for fossil fuel exploration and development.  Furthermore, we insist that whatever pollution and/or clean-up costs are incurred be borne by the developers, not by federal/state funds.

  7. *We support the exchange of information and technology between all nations on the planet to help in stopping human-induced climate change.

IMPROVEMENT IN THESE AREAS WILL HELP THE SOUL OF THE PLANET AND EACH INDIVIDUAL LIFE ON IT.
